Melissa Bixby has been Council/Program Director since 2009. Before becoming Council/Program Director Melissa had been involved in Girls on the Run as a coach. She coached at various locations in Boise for 5 years. Melissa is a casual runner who enjoys the occasional half marathon. When she is not preparing for a Girls on the Run season she classifies herself as a reader, wine taster, solver of puzzles and champion of the rubiks cube. She lives in Boise with her husband, their 7 year old daughter and the furry ruler of the house, Bella, a Corgi.
Annie has been coaching for Girls on the Run since 2011 and has since become an Area Coordinator. Annie was born and raised in Boise and will probably never leave. Boise and the surrounding areas offer everything she enjoys from camping, hiking, biking, greenbelt access, the river, and all 4 seasons in one day! Annie is currently working part-time and a few months away from her Bachelors Degree in Project Management. Annie has been married for 6 six years with whom she has two children and one new bundle of joy on the way!
Marianne Gray is one of our four Area Coordinators. She has been involved with Girls on the Run since 2010. She has been a coach, an intern-Program Coordinator, and an Area Coordinator in Arizona and now Idaho. Marianne got involved with Girls on the Run after learning about its mission and the positive impact it has on girls. Being a mother of six girls, she knows how wonderful this program is and has witnessed its positive impact firsthand. Marianne’s hobbies include running, reading, and outdoor activities. Her favorite pastime is spending time with her husband, daughters and puppy, Remi.
Erin is a Boise native who has been a part of GOTR since 2012. Originally a coach, she is excited to spend her 3rd and 4th seasons as an Area Coordinator to the North Boise region.
Spending time between being an Area Coordinator for GOTR and the Girls Scouts as the Marketing Manager, Erin is able to exercise her passion for youth programs, building confidence in girls, and community service. She loves running, the YMCA, Hot Yoga, SUP, being outside and her French Bulldog; Scooter Moose.
Brenda Magnuson has been an Area Coordinator with Girls on the Run since 2015. Brenda started with the GOTR program as a coach in 2005, where she experienced first-hand, the empowerment and inclusion this program awakens in young girls and has been supporter of the GOTR mission ever since. As mom to two amazing young women, and grandma to five, she is still the first ‘grownup kid’ in the group to be found running, playing, and having fun with the kids at parties, picnics, and reunions. Brenda’s hobbies include trail running, mountain biking, playing soccer, hiking, back packing and most any outdoor activity.
