Become a Coach

Coaches are the heart of our program! Each season, two or more volunteer coaches inspire and guide a team through our tried-and-true curriculum. If you're ready to directly make an impact, then this role is for you.

We have lots of fun ways to be part of GOTR this summer! 

 Upcoming Summer Events & Volunteer Opportunities

We have several fun opportunities coming up—and we’d love for you to join us again! Sign up and select which option works best for you. All of these opporutnities benefit Girls on the Run Treasure Valley. Runners can donate to GOTR at registration, the GOTR Mile, all registration fees support scholarships for girls, and volunteering at ISF is a way for the GOTR community to give back to our community.  Join the fun

 Saturday, May 30
 7:30–10:30 AM
 Telaya Wine Co (240 E 32nd St, Garden City)
Help with registration, water, and medal distribution.

 GOTR Mile at Boise Twilight Criterium
 Saturday, July 11
 Downtown Boise (in front of the Capitol Building)

8:30–11:00 AM: Happy Hair for Kids Ride

4:00–6:00 PM: GOTR Mile (registration, setup, water)

 GOTR Night at Idaho Shakespeare Festival (Ages 14+)

5K Volunteers

Our end of season 5K provides a tangible sense of accomplishment to participants. To celebrate and make the experience one to remember, there are many opportunities to get involved.

  • Registration
  • Medal Station
  • Water Station
  • Happy Hair and Activity Stations
  • Running Buddy opportunities, where we invite family members and/or trusted friends to run alongside participants.

Internships

Our council can create internship opportunities on an individual basis, helping you get the most out of your experience. Focus areas: volunteer recruitment, program support, marketing, communications, social media, graphic design, videography, operations, special events and fundraising.
